Hot Stone Massage
I use oceanic basalt stones for this deeply comforting treatment. Basalt stone is created from volcanic eruption, rocks tumbling to smoothness over thousands of years. For all who enjoy warmth, the stones warm the tissue, increase local circulation, and relax the muscles. Some of the stones are placed on the body, while others are used to massage, using a combination of hands and stones. This treatment calms the nervous system and is very grounding.
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)
This is a very gentle hands-on technique designed to increase the movement of lymph and interstitial fluid. It has a soothing and pain relieving effect. Some indications for this supportive therapy include sprains, whiplash, mild lymphedema, presurgical, post-trauma and post-surgical edema, autoimmune disorders, concussion, lyme disease, and fatigue related to long-COVID.
CranioSacral Therapy
This is a gentle, hands-on approach that promotes the body’s natural healing processes by releasing tension and restrictions in the craniosacral system. This therapy enhances overall well-being, alleviating pain and stress while improving the body’s ability to heal itself.
Integrated Positional Therapy (IPT)
This is a gentle and effective therapy that focuses on correcting muscular imbalances and realigning the body's structure to alleviate pain at its root cause. Each IPT session starts with a posture analysis. The client should wear comfortable, stretchable clothing. Techniques are applied such as slackening as well as stretching specific muscles with resistance. The client will leave the session with a targeted wellness plan to continue to address muscle imbalance in daily life. This therapy aims to provide immediate and long lasting relief from pain.
